Kosciuszko National Park - Main Range Track

This track is considered one of Australia's great day walks. Above the tree-line in the alpine area of Kosciuszko is a 22 kilometre loop walk which begins and ends at Charlotte Pass. The track takes walkers across the Snowy River and up over Mt Caruthers towards the summit of Kosciuszko itself, then by Rawson's Pass and down the hill back towards the starting point. The best time to do this walk is between December and March when the wild flowers are in bloom.

Mount Gladstone

Mt Gladstone Lookout and Nature Reserve sits in 125 hectares of native bushland less than four kilometres from the edge of Cooma township and offers magnificent views from two easily accessible platforms across the Monaro Plains to the peaks of the Snowy Mountains. There are toilets and barbecue facilities available. Coach and car parking is also available.

Located in the beautiful, historic and functioning Cooma Gaol, this museum highlights the varied 200 year history of the Correctional Services in New South Wales with information, displays and artefacts from the convicts through to the modern day system.
