About this property
Named in honour of acclaimed Aboriginal artist Gloria Petyarre, Alpine Gloria is a thoughtfully curated 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment set within the sought-after Squatters Run complex, accommodating up to 4 guests. Overlooking Thredbo Village Square, the property combines warmth, character and comfort, offering a distinctive mountain retreat in the heart of the village.
Setting the Scene
Positioned above the energy of Village Square within Kosciuszko National Park, Alpine Gloria enjoys a unique balance of connection and retreat. Cafes, restaurants and village amenities sit just below, while the surrounding alpine landscape creates a constant sense of place.
The scenery shifts dramatically with the seasons, from snow-covered peaks and bustling winter mornings to sunlit trails and long summer afternoons, shaping an atmosphere that feels both vibrant and restorative throughout the year.
Inside the Home
Entry is via a generous hallway, where a bespoke statement carpet introduces the property's considered design approach. The open-plan living area centres around a fireplace, creating a warm focal point through the cooler months, while layered textiles, timber finishes and carefully selected furnishings contribute to a sense of comfort and character.
The fully equipped kitchen integrates seamlessly into the living space, supported by a generous pantry and dining setting designed for relaxed meals. Underfloor heating runs throughout, while accommodation is provided via a private bedroom and a sofa bed within the living area, allowing the property to comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. The bathroom features a deep soaking bath framed in reclaimed timber, alongside a separate walk-in rain shower.
Alpine Living
A small balcony captures the afternoon sun and provides a comfortable place to enjoy a morning coffee or a quiet moment overlooking the village.
Practical amenities include undercover parking with EV charging, along with access to bike storage, ski and boot storage, e-bike charging facilities and a dedicated wash area, supporting both winter and summer adventures.
The Experience
Thredbo is one of Australia's premier alpine destinations, offering skiing and snowboarding in winter, with hiking, mountain biking and outdoor exploration taking centre stage through the warmer months.
With Village Square at its doorstep, Alpine Gloria places dining, cafes, bars and mountain experiences within easy reach, while providing a warm and character-filled retreat to return to at the end of each day.
